Happy Anniversary!
Had a lovely 5th wedding anniversay yesterday. Went to the Thai Orchid in Cathedral Square, Exeter. Had a yummy meal, I had tempura, and tom yam soup followed by vegetarian Thai green curry, Dan had soup and squid. Bit pricey but nice for a special occasion.
Established in 1995, Thai Orchid Restaurant is Exeter’s First Thai Restaurant serving Thai Cuisine in a period cottage. Built in 1540 this stonemasons’ cottage and Saint Peter’s Cathedral, provide an unlikely yet fitting backdrop for this taste of Thailand. The Restaurant is a family run business comprising of two levels of fine dining without the pretence one might normally expect from a restaurant of this quality. The kitchen is professionally run by Thai Chefs with experience gained in prestigious restaurants and hotels from Bangkok to New Zealand.
